Analisis Penggunaan Kosa Kata Baku dan Tidak Baku Dalam Bahasa Indonesia Pada Peserta Didik Kelas 8-A SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalanbaru

Description

Students are a component of the school institution and should be encouraged to use proper and correct Indonesian, especially when it comes to standard and non-standard words. The habit of students justifying their daily local language and mixing it with slang is a mistake that needs to be rectified. The research methodology employed in this study combines a qualitative descriptive approach with quantitative research. The quantitative aspect of the research aims to provide an overview of the use of standard and non-standard words among students. The research subjects for this study are the 8th-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalanbaru, totaling 36 students, with 28 of them responding to the questionnaire. Based on the research findings, the role of families, the surrounding environment, and, of course, teachers as part of the educational institution is crucial in promoting the correct and appropriate use of the Indonesian language, particularly in understanding the distinction between standard and non-standard words.
