Abstract The study aimed to identify the level of mental flexibility and metacognitive thinking among students of Umm Al-Qura University and to know the relationship between them, and for this purpose the descriptive correlative approach was used, and the study sample consisted of (309) students at the undergraduate level at Umm Al-Qura University, and the Mental Flexibility Scale was used. Abdel-Wahhab (2011) and the Arabic version of the Metacognitive Thinking Scale by (Schraw & Dennison, 1994) and the results showed: There is a high level of mental flexibility and metacognitive thinking among Umm Al-Qura University students, And there is a positive, statistically significant correlation between the level of mental flexibility and metacognitive thinking.
