D7.3 System Validation and Evaluation

This document D7.3 System Validation and Evaluation describes the effectiveness of the VALKYRIES outcomes according to the validation and evaluation methodology (D7.1). This deliverable includes all the activities related to testing the components, modules, interfaces, procedures, etc., reference integrated as well as their interoperability, normalization, and harmonization to support first aid responses on disaster scenarios. This covers the evaluation of the whole VALKYRIES reference architecture, with integration tests and system validations.

Functional, modular, inter-modular, scalability and security tests were executed on the testbed developed and integrated in the adapted virtual labs and testbeds (T7.1). The validation and evaluation of integrations for use case demonstration and their outcomes will be performed, including a broad study based on the expectations and null/alternative hypothesis, and the impact of the massive cross-border demonstrations in both the attending stakeholders and the expected operational and collaborative enhancements. The latter will also assess the effect of the demonstration outcomes bearing in mind the opinions of experts.

The following summarises the main contributions of D7.3:

- Harmonisations to be verified by Inspection, analysis, test, and demonstration.

- The scope of the harmonization opportunities and justification.  System Validation definition

- Criteria for assessing compliance based on effectiveness measures (EM), performance measures (MR) and parameters or key performance indicators (KPIs). 

The results achieved in each verification test, the quality of the results and the validation questionnaires are provided in each UC Report.
