In recent years, proposals on interculturality in scientific productions have intensified in initial and continuing teacher training courses. Considering this issue, intercultural experiences in initial teacher training have been promising in terms of contributing to the dialogue between cultures in a specific form in the Amazon. This study aims to analyze the intercultural perspective in the National Basic Education Teacher Training Program (Parfor). The methodological procedure adopted was a bibliographical and documentary study of a qualitative nature, using as a primary source the Pedagogical Project of the Pedagogy course at the State University of Amapá (UEAP), which contributed to understanding the concern of the course with teacher training from an intercultural perspective. As a result, it was noticed that the policies for teacher training of those living in the Amazon have valued intercultural knowledge, recognizing knowledge in the curriculum experienced and constructed by them.
