MPA Europe Report Deliverable 2.3 Marine ecosystem classification for surface waters of Europe

This deliverable has been approved by the European Commission. This provides the classification of marine ecosystems in Europe for surface waters driven by a wide range of spatially complete and standardised environmental data that reflect both ecosystem conditions and functioning. These data are crucial for policy-relevant research focusing on MPA designation, in particular, mapping of biodiversity patterns, and quantifying biodiversity impacts under global change scenarios.
