1. Seguridad y efectividad del uso de apixaban versus warfarina en el tratamiento de la enfermedad tromboembólica en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica avanzada

El tratamiento anticoagulante óptimo en pacientes con enfermedad tromboembólica que tienen enfermedad renal crónica avanzada es desconocido. Se comparó la eficacia y seguridad de apixaban frente a Warfarina. Se observó que el riesgo de sangrado fue menor sin aumentar el riesgo de recurrencia, sugiriendo que podría tener un papel importante en ese grupo de pacientes.
The optimal therapy of venous thromboembolism in patients with end-stage kidney disease is unknown. This study compared the safety and effectiveness of apixaban versus warfarin showing a lower risk of bleeding in patients treated with apixaban without increasing the risk of recurrence. These results suggest that apixaban could have an important role in this group of patients.
