A landscape of toolkits for Inter- and Transdisciplinary Research
Creators
Description
There are a plethora of toolkits available for supporting ITD research and projects, and little help for researchers to choose which toolkits might be most appropriate, or for toolkit developers to understand what toolkits already exist. The core members of the Toolkits and Methods Working Group hosted within the Global Alliance for Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD Alliance; https://itd-alliance.org/working-groups/toolkits_methods/) began a project in 2020 to collate and map a 'landscape of toolkits for ITD research and practice' to support researchers and developers. This report documents that project and the visualisations of a landscape of ITD toolkits.
Essential contributions and editorial decisions have been made by Sibylle Studer, Melissa Robson-Williams, and Kathrin Wieck, with support from Working Group members Gabriele Bammer, Bianca Vienni Baptista, Antonietta Di Giulio, Bethany Laursen, and Theres Paulsen. We express our gratitude to the members of the ITD Alliance and other workshop participants for their ideas and feedback. Special thanks to Manaaki Whenua for their work in creating the figures
