Description

Agriculture libraries play a pivotal role in realizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in agrarian nations like India. This study explores their relationship with SDGs within the Indian context. Examining roles, services, and challenges, we uncover how these libraries contribute to sustainable practices and societal change. Amidst India's vital agricultural sector, facing challenges like resource depletion and rural poverty, agriculture libraries emerge as knowledge hubs. By providing access to resources, disseminating information, and fostering sustainable practices, they aid in addressing challenges across stakeholders. Understanding their significance is crucial for effective policy formulation aligned with SDGs. In a country where agricultural concerns intersect with several goals, including Zero Hunger, Responsible Consumption, and Climate Action, these libraries stand as key allies in propagating awareness and driving change. By spotlighting the transformative potential of agriculture libraries, this research underlines the importance of leveraging their capacity to advance sustainable development. In sum, agriculture libraries are more than information repositories – they're catalysts propelling progress and steering India toward a greener, more equitable future.
