Description
Figure 2 - a Female flower bud of Coccinia microphylla (N. Holstein et al. 90); picture taken during the dry season. The stem is completely lignified, and only green short shoots are produced b Male plant of Coccinia sessilifolia. The stem is glaucous and does not lignify. Unusually, the bract is 3-lobate leaf-like.
