Lanes 3, 4: progeny plants (1B). Lane 5: 2B mother plant. Lane 6: progeny plant with 2n = 28 chromosomes. Lanes 7-9: progeny plants (2B). The band pattern of higher chromosome plants completely matches that of the mother plants as indicated by arrows.
