GENUS POTENTILLA L. OF ALTAI MOUNTAIN COUNTRY

The dataset contains an up-to-date list of representatives of the genus Potentilla L. of Altai Mountain Country (http://altaiflora.asu.ru). The dataset is intended to provide all interested users of GBIF with information on the distribution of the genus within the AMC, identifying the locations of storage of material in world collections and other types of analyzes (taxonomic, phenological, etc.) using the available datasets in GBIF.

For the first time for the AMC, the system of the genus Potentilla L. s. str. and its species composition were published in the work of A. A. Kechaykin and A. I. Shmakov (2020). According to this work, 78 species and 3 subspecies belonging to 11 sections of the genus grow on the AMC territory. Our dataset contains an up-to-date list of the taxa of the genus in the AMC flora, considering recent information.
