MESuSiE: enables scalable and powerful multi-ancestry fine-mapping of causal variants in genome-wide association studies

  • 1. University of Michigan

Description

The MESuSiE (Multiple Ancestry Sum of the Single Effect Model) software offers a comprehensive approach to multi-ancestry fine-mapping. It adeptly considers both shared and ancestry-specific causal variants across various ancestries. By properly addressing the diverse linkage disequilibrium (LD) patterns seen in different ancestries, it ensures accuracy. MESuSiE utilizes GWAS marginal summary statistics for input and is built upon the scalable variational inference algorithm of SuSiE, originally designed for ancestry-specific fine-mapping.

This repository encompasses not just the MESuSiE software but also code for simulations and real data analyses, along with their results. MESuSiE is available at software, and the guideline is available at tutorial.
