Description
The Australian Archaeological Association (AAA) conference is an annual conference aiming to encourage the advancement of archaeology in Australia. The 39th AAA conference was held in the coastal town of Terrigal, New South Wales and for the first time in its history it was hosted by an Indigenous organisation; the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC). This defining moment in the history of AAA conferences and along with the theme “Interwoven: Indigenous and Western Knowledge in Archaeology and Heritage” promoted collaboration and understanding of di erent ways to explore Australian archaeology.
