BACTERICIDAL AND FUNGICIDAL PROPERTIES OF THE CONSTITUENT COMPONENTS OF ESSENTIAL OIL PLANTS IN AZERBAIJAN

Azerbaijan's rich flora comprises over 5,000 plant species, with over 1,500 possessing medicinal significance and around 800 classified as essential oil plants. These essential oil plants contain biologically active compounds, including bactericidal and fungicidal agents, making them of practical interest. However, research on these plants remains limited. This study aims to assess the bactericidal and fungicidal properties of various essential oil plants native to Azerbaijan.
