Study Of Essential Oil Activities Of The Artemisia Genus Species Distributed İn The Azerbaijan Flora

Essential oils of the 34 wormwood species distributed in the Azerbaijan flora have been investigated for the
first time. Percentage and componential composition of essential oils in different vegetation phases have
been studied. The results of researches showed that the essential oils of 8 species (4. fragrans Willd, A.
spicigera C. Koch, A. szowitziana (Bess.) A.Grossh., 4. absinthium L., A. issayevii Rzazade, A. annua L., A.
scoparia Waldst et Kit) have protozoocide, 12 species (4. fragrans, A. hanseniana (Bess) A.Grossh, A.
kobstanica Rzazade, A. prilipkoana Rzazade, A. iskenderiana Rzazade, A. szowitziana, A. scoparia, A.
scoparoides Grossh., A.santonica LA.moogyna A. chazarica Rzazade) fungicide, 6 species (4. fragrans, A.
annua, A. chazarica A. kobstanica, A. szowitziana, A.scoparoides Grossh.) antiftungal, 5 spccics (4. fragrans
A. issayevii, A. szowitziana, A. maritima L, A. marschalliana Spreng) antiviral, 6 apecies (4. fragrans, A.
szOwitziana, A. issayevii, A.maritima L, A. fedorovii Rzazade, A. kobstanica) antinierobial, and water
decoctions of 14 species (A. amnua, A. seoparia, A. absinthium, A. fragrans, A. hanseniana, A. kobstanica, A.
prilipkoana. A iskenderiana A. chazarica A. spiciger A, austriaca, A. dracuneulus L, A. szowitziana, A.
monogyna) have protozoocide activities in vivo and in vitro.
