Description

106. Thamneus rostratus Bovallius, 1887

Type locality: Cape of Good Hope, South Atlantic Ocean.

Synonyms: Daira debilis Dana, 1853; Euthamneus platyrhynchus (Stebbing, 1888); Euthamneus recurvirostris (Chevreux, 1900); Euthamneus rostratus (Bovallius, 1887); Thamneus platyrrhynchus Stebbing, 1888; Thamneus recurvirostris Chevreux, 1900.

Distribution. World: Gulf of Mexico (Felder & Camp 2009), Greece (Koukouras 2010), India (Pillai 1965b).

India: Western India Ecoregion: Maharashtra (Jossi 1973 as Euthamneus platyrhynchus (Stebbing, 1888)),

South India Ecoregion: Kerala (Pillai 1965b as Euthamneus platyrhynchus (Stebbing, 1888)).
