105. Tetrathyrus forcipatus Claus, 1879

Type locality: South Atlantic Ocean, near the Cape of Good Hope.

Synonyms: Tetrathyrus inscriptus Bovallius, 1887; Tetrathyrus moncoeuri Stebbing, 1888; Tetrathyrus rectangularis Bovallius, 1887; Tetrathyrus sancti-josephi Shoemaker, 1925.

Distribution. World: South Atlantic Ocean (Claus 1879), Gulf of Mexico (Felder & Camp 2009), Greece (Koukouras 2010), New Zealand (Webber et al. 2010), India (Pillai 1965b).

India: Western India Ecoregion: Maharashtra (Pillai 1965b); Goa (Pillai 1965b); Karnataka (Pillai 1965b); Kerala (Pillai 1965b); South India Ecoregion: Kerala (Pillai 1965b; Jossi 1973); Tamil Nadu (Pillai 1965b); Maldives Ecoregion: Lakshadweep (Pillai 1965b).
