Type locality: Trieste, Italy.

Synonyms: Colomastix crassimanus Heller, 1867; Colomastix stilipes Norman, 1869; Colomastix tenuipes Spence Bate, 1862; Exungia stilipes Norman, 1869.

Distribution. World: Italy (Grube 1861), South Africa (Barnard 1955), France (Dauvin 1999), North Atlantic Ocean (Bellan-Santini & Costello 2001), Caribbean Sea, Cuba (Miloslavich et al. 2010), Ireland (Guiry & Guiry 2011), India (Nayar 1966).

India: South India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Nayar 1966).

Remarks: Report from India requires confirmation.
