Description

Code and data to reproduce the results presented in Plante et al. (2023). The Icepack v1.1.0 code used to run the simulations is available on github, branch Plante.et.al.2023, at :  https://github.com/mathieuslplante/Icepack.git

This repository contains:

  • Data from the 2 SIMBA buoys deployed in 2017 in the landfast ice close to Nain, Labrador,
  • Data from the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) weather station at Nain airport,
  • Diagnostic files from 31 Icepack v.1.1.0 simulations to reproduce the SIMBA observations,
  • Python codes used to reproduce the figures and analysis included in Plante et al. (2023),
  • Namelists.ini files for each dataset and simulation, used in the analysis scripts below.

The python scripts include the following:

  • SAMSIMBdata.py : Python package to read and process the SIMBA data,
  • Icepackdata.py : Python package to read and process the Icepack diagnostics,
  • EC_WStation_data.py : Python package to read and process ECCC weather station data,
  • SfcRetrieval.py : Surface retrieval algorithm described in Plante et al., (2023),
  • Visualization.py : Python package with code to reproduce all figures from Plante at al., (2023),
  • Plante.et.al.2023_Data-analysis.py : Running this script will produce all figures and analysis from Plante et al., (2023).
