188. Pleonexes gammaroides Spence Bate, 1857

Type locality: Penzance, England.

Synonyms: Amphitoe gammaroides (Spence Bate, 1857); Ampithoe gammaroides (Spence Bate, 1857); Ampithoe hamulus Boeck, 1876; Ampithoe longicornis Boeck, 1871.

Distribution. World: England (Spence Bate 1857), North Atlantic Ocean (Bellan-Santini & Costello 2001), Bay of Biscay (Bachelet et al. 2003), Ireland (Guiry & Guiry 2011), India (Thilagavathi et al. 2013).

India: South India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Thilagavathi et al. 2013 as Ampithoe gammaroides (Spence Bate, 1857)); Eastern India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Thilagavathi et al. 2013 as Ampithoe gammaroides (Spence Bate, 1857)).

Remarks: Report from India requires confirmation.
