69. Hyperia medusarum (Müller, 1776)

Type locality: Søndmør, Norway.

Synonyms: Cancer medusarum M̧ller, 1776; Cancer (Gammarellus) medusarum Herbst 1796; Hyperia hystrix Bovallius, 1889; Hyperia Lesueurii Latreille in Desmarest 1825; Hyperia medusarum hystrix Bovallius, 1889; Hyperia medusarum medusarum (M̧ller, 1776) Hyperia spinipes Boeck, 1861; Hyperia Suerii Latreille in Desmarest, 1823; Oniscus medusarum Fabricius 1780; Oniscus quadricornis Fabricius, 1775.

Distribution. World: Norway (M̧ller 1776), North Atlantic Ocean (Bellan-Santini & Costello 2001), Bay of Fundy (Trott, 2004), Ireland (Guiry & Guiry 2011), India (Raghunathan et al. 2012).

India: Western India Ecoregion: Gujarat (Trivedi et al. 2015); Andaman and Nicobar Islands Ecoregion: Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Raghunathan et al. 2012).
