Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of female-male relations in the novel "Poor People" by F.M. Dostoevsky. The logic of the relationship between male and female characters, the specifics of the images of love "polygons" are analyzed, the peculiarities of
female and male psychology in the interpretation of Dostoevsky are revealed. The artistic perspective of Dostoevsky's genderological discoveries made in "Poor People" for subsequent novel creativity is evaluated.
