Construction of histone-protein complex structures by peptide growing
- 1. University of Pécs, Medical School, Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacoinformatics Unit
Description
PepGrow was introduced using docked histone fragments as seeds for growing the full peptide tails in the reader binding pocket. PepGrow produces atomic resolution structures of histone-reader complexes and does not require prior knowledge of the binding sites. PepGrow allows high flexibility of the full histone tails, and it was proved to be more efficient than linking pre-docked peptide fragments. PepGrow combines the advantages of popular program packages and allow fast generation of solution structures.
