Sparkline of the main international economic processes of the ICT industry in Ukraine

The subject of the study is the international economic processes of the ICT industry.

The purpose of the study is to conduct a sparkline of the main international economic processes
of the ICT industry in Ukraine.
Research methods. The work uses the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method of
analysis and synthesis, the comparative method, and the method of summarizing data.
Work results. The article provides a sparkline of the main international economic processes of
the ICT industry, namely export and import of information and communication technology services.
Information services, computer services, and telecommunication services are included in the export
and import of ICT services. Further prospects for the development of the ICT industry in Ukraine from
the point of view of foreign economic prerequisites are characterized.
Conclusions. National ICT processes cannot be considered without taking into account global IT
processes, given that the former are highly dependent on the latter, as well as the fact that the Ukrainian
economy is open. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account various dynamic processes and
changes that have and will have a place in the ICT segment of the world economy in the future. Chief
among them is the global automation of business processes. This is evidenced by the results of the
forecast of authoritative international expert organizations, which say that by the middle of the twenties,
59% of all business processes will be automated (the technical component of these processes). If the
export of services in the field of information and communication technologies grew by significant volumes
during the analyzed period, the import of ICT services managed to increase by a relatively small amount,
which indicates that, despite tangible successes, the domestic ICT sector is dynamically developing, but
poorly integrated into the world information process (economic component of these processes).
