Die Erweiterung des Provenienzprinzips: Der neue Records in Contexts-Standard
Description
The ICA standards ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF), ISDF and ISDIAH were created independently, and it was never defined how exactly they relate to each other. RiC aims to address this and, as a new model, to help contextualise archival records extensively. The provenance principle, with its two aspects of „respects des fonds“ and „respect de l’ordre originel“, was introduced as a generally valid principle of classification for archives. However, today’s reality of record production is so complex that it can no longer be adequately represented by the traditional provenance principle. RiC’s new data model is based on semantic technologies and offers an answer to the challenges. Instead of the mono-hierarchical model of ISAD(G), RiC’s network model allows for several equally valid perspectives on the archival records.
