Le research skills nella formazione universitaria in ambito pedagogico-educativo per promuovere l'educazione permanente | Research skills of university students in the pedagogical-educational area to promote lifelong learning

Description

The latest international (OECD, 2022) and national (INAPP, 2022) data shows that in Italy there are worrying scenarios for the 25-64 age group, regarding: a high number of low skilled people; a lower educational and training participation and tertiary degree qualifications rising, but over a longer period. Promoting and guaranteeing adequate opportunities for all people to acquire strategic skills for progress towards equitable and sustainable development goals is a fundamental challenge and lifelong education is a key factor. Within these assumptions, it is considered essential to train students in transversal skills, in particular in research skills, which enhance the active involvement of the student. An exploratory research project was carried out to investigate on the realization of the degree thesis, as it represents an important research opportunity for the student. Among the main results from data analysis it was found, generally both a low experience of writing and a low awareness about the functions of bibliographic research. These research skills are crucial for the training of active adult people. It will help persons to fully fulfil, through realising their potential, the perspective of Lifelong, Lifewide and Life-deep Learning.
