Deliverable D6.6 Implementation of the FWCR software platform

The TURNkey FWCR (Forecasting – Early Warning – Consequence Prediction – Response) platform is a multi-sensor-based earthquake information system, facilitating earthquake forecasting and enabling early warning and rapid response actions. The FWCR platform has been designed to be based on conventional networks and smartphone-based networks and a cloud-based computer system, which can be distributed as a fully operational TURNkey product to public authorities/decision-makers (e.g., disaster management authorities, political authorities), first responders (e.g., civil protection, search-and-rescue teams, emergency medical services) and private companies (including operators of critical infrastructure) and general businesses (including the insurance industry). This platform can assist the identified stakeholders to react at the earliest stage to earthquakes and to reduce the direct and indirect (follow-up) impacts and consequences. The present document describes the general concept and the functionalities of the platform and specifies the instrumentation setup, the scientific engines setup, and the cloud-based graphical user interface setup. Moreover, a demonstration for a hypothetical site of interest is included to show the available functionalities and the platform’s potential impact on earthquake disaster management.
