PRONTUÁRIO ELETRÔNICO: DESENVOLVIMENTO DE ESTRATÉGIA DE BAIXO CUSTO PARA FACULDADE DE ODONTOLOGIA

Introduction: The Federal University of Pará (UFPA) offers dental treatments to local community,
through its clinics coordinated by the Faculty of Dentistry (FO). Currently, dental records are
recorded on paper and its management becomes a challenge for the Faculty. Aim: The objective of
this study was to develop an online platform for the organization and storage of health data of
patients treated at FO-UFPA clinics. Methods: The development of a software solution capable of
being used in fixed or mobile devices was determined. Google Forms was chosen as the platform, as
it allowed the manipulation of its interface according to the project's needs. Results: A prototype of a
digital dental record capable of being operated in different operating systems with efficiency and data
security at a low cost was developed with the help of Google's Application Programming Interface
(API) and GSuite UFPA. Eight volunteers participated in the validation tests, which showed
satisfactory results of user acceptance with the new platform. Conclusion: This study offered a
viable alternative for the administration of data contained in the medical records of patients treated at
FO-UFPA
