Description
Numerous companies, including those in the electricity industry and distribution, are investing large amounts of money and introducing new techniques to improve business efficiency and success. Today's dynamic market trends require DSOs to rethink their business model, which usually leads to changes in vision and strategic goals. This often requires upgrading or expanding existing systems and integrating new concepts such as asset management (AM). A modern approach to digitization, i.e., Building Information Modelling (BIM), an integrated and systematic platform, provides the distribution companies additional support for key planning, project management and control processes, both for engineering and other functional areas. The article describes several practical examples of use.
