  • 1. Chimanbhai Patel Institute of Management & Research, Ahmedabad, India

Description

Abstract: Any institution's most valuable resource is its workforce, and it can be difficult to keep them committed to the cause. Any employee's disengagement with a company directly affects how well they function. Now a days, social media has a significant impact on everyone's life. Even during work hours, people are unable to refrain from using it, which results in significant time waste and a negative impact on their productivity. On the other side, social media has made it possible to engage and communicate with employees, which leads to improved performance. This research examines the connection between using social media as a tool for employee engagement and how it affects personnel productivity. Information was gathered from 255 employees of the organizations in Ahmedabad's IT companies. According to test results, there is a link between using social media to engage employees and improving employee performance. Social media adoption as a tool for participation is positively correlated with age.
