Success Factors of Corporate Compliance

Description

Corporate Compliance represents a company-wide approach to the effective and efficient fulfilment of the requirements of the key stakeholders. This includes a sustainable, risk- and value-oriented, ethical and legally compliant management of the company. In order to meet these requirements high investments in corporate compliance are made on a regular basis. To date, however, the concrete impact of these investments on the success of the company are still unclear and not scientifically proven. Furthermore, Corporate Compliance is oftentimes viewed by internal stakeholders as a cost factor that does not contribute to value creation. Many companies are particularly interested in how they can structure corporate compliance effectively and efficiently, without dramatically rising their costs. Therefore, the goal is to identify the most effective and efficient success factors of corporate compliance in order to subsequently identify Compliance Key Performance Indicators (CKPIs) that can be used in the training of compliance officers and hence positively influence the success of the company.
