Description

A poster presented at SciPy 2023, describing some of the challenges coupling thermodynamic models to geodynamic simulations and introducing a new python-based tool, ThermoCodegen (TCG), to deal with them.  TCG uses SymPy to symbolically represent thermodynamic models and automatically generate interfaces to a set of consistent thermodynamic parameters for use in geodynamic models.  Some examples of its use in reactive disequilibrium problems in Earth science are shown.
