SEM internal view of a complete valve. 34–35. SEM internal details of the carinoportulae showing the slits between the carinoportulae. The white arrows in Fig. 34 indicate the slit-like openings scattered between the areolae. Scale bars = 10 µm (Figs 33–34), 1 µm (Fig. 35).
