India, officially the Republic of India is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area. it is bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the south-west, and the Bay of Bengal on the south-east, it shares land borders with Pakistan to the west; China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north-east; and Burma and Bangladesh to the east. The major religions are Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. India has a total population of 1,198,003,000, a gross national income per capita US$ 2,930, a life expectancy at birth M/F (years) 63/66. The probability of dying under five (per 1000 live births) 66, total expenditure on health per capita US$ 132, and a total expenditure on health as % of GDP is 4.2.
