Factors Affecting Financial Management Behavior Generation Z in Surabaya

Abstract

The goal of this study is to examine how financial technology, financial knowledge, financial self-afficacy, and locus of control affect generation Z's financial management behavior in Surabaya. This type of research is quantitative research. This study uses a population of generation z in Surabaya aged 17-26 years. The sample technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 110 respondents. While the PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis approach, with validity checks, reliability tests, and hypothesis testing, is the data analysis technique used. According to the study's findings, financial knowledge and technology have no bearing on financial management behavior, whereas financial self-afficacy and locus of control do. This is particularly true for generation z in Surabaya.
