Etymology of the Lexeme 'View' in English

Description

The article deals with an etymological analysis of the lexeme view. The results of the theoretical study are presented in this work. Based on the etymological analysis, the authors managed to trace the history and evolution of the word’s sense. Much attention is given to the analysis of dictionary definitions as the contribution to the exact isolation of meanings, and concepts. Exploring the lexical compatibility of the word, a set of semantic features was obtained which characterized a large extent the concept itself.
