The International Conference LEADING AND MANAGING IN THE DIGITAL ERA: Shaping the future of work and business education took place between 19-23.06.2023, in Syros, Cyclades, Greece.

This conference is unique in that it brought together academic leaders, academic researchers, and industry leaders to discuss new results on management and leadership in the digital era, as well the impact of digital on business and on education. The conference featured selected papers presenting innovative research results and their business impact, as well as discussion papers and panels by academic leaders and industry leaders on their vision about the future of Business Schools and business education in view of the opportunities in the digital era.

In addition, the conference extension gave the opportunity to participants to attend presentations of important funded research initiatives, engage in networking for possible collaborations in funded research, meet experts and discuss potential collaborations in research projects, and participate in presentations of doctoral research.

On Thursday 22/6/2023, Mr. Marios Koimtzoglou, Research Engineer at NTUA, made a presentation of a part of the MOSES project (the presentation was focused on the innovative feeder vessel specifically) during the conference. The presentation entitled “The MOSES Innovative Feeder Vessel: Creating
alternative pathways for transporting containerized cargo to the Greek islands“, was delivered during RC4: AI in Shipping session, which was chaired by Prof. Harilaos Psaraftis from the Technical University of Denmark.
