A MODERN CONCEPT IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ROOT CARIES

The article is devoted to the modern understanding of the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of root caries. The relevance of the topic, risk factors, clinical signs of root caries, prevention and treatment are touched upon. The features of diagnostics, the role of professional and individual oral hygiene, fluoroprophylaxis in the treatment of superficial caries and in the stage of staining, preparation of carious cavities with medium and deep root caries, the choice of filling materials and discussion of positive and negative properties are considered.
