In this article, the author considers art management as a new discipline closely related to related fields - tourism, sports, communication, as well as with general management disciplines – strategic management (project management and innovation management), human resource management, finance and accounting, marketing and with society as a whole, in which it develops this discipline. Special attention is paid not only to the similarities and differences from other disciplines (in particular from management), but also to the contribution that art management itself makes to general managerial knowledge - management tools of a new type adapted to the specific realities faced by cultural organizations. In this case, in our opinion, art management is at the intersection of the theoretical structure (management) and the industry (art), which allows us to talk about a discipline different from management.
