குறுந்தொகையில் கலைகள் / Arts in Kurunthogai

The Sangam literature is known as Patinen literature (18). These are divided into two major categories based on other things like the composition of songs, number of lines, and composition of verses such as octet literature and ten-song literature. Out of them, “Kurunthogai” is considered one of the literature. It can be seen that the songs in the collection refer to inner life. Characters such as Thalaivan, Thalavi, Thozhi, Sevizhithai, Pangan, etc. are part of it. Also, the historical notes about emperors like Cholan Karikavalavan, Kuttuvan, Tinther Porayan, and Pasumpoon Pandyan and minor emperors like Pari, Ori, Nalli, and Nannan, the gift they gave and their country's excellence are highlighted. This article is a study about where and how arts are mentioned in the “Kurunthogai” and also highlights the aspects of love, togetherness, fulfillment, separation, mourning, indwelling, existence and which arts are available.
