Method of obtaining low-temperature nuclear fusion

An alternative method to high-temperature plasma heating is proposed for obtaining low-temperature nuclear fusion, which consists in passing a beam of ions, consisting of primary deuteron clusters with deuterium molecules through a sufficiently dense gas of deuterium molecules under normal temperature, pressure conditions and providing small values of the Coulomb barrier between deuterons. It is shown by the example of simple estimates that the efficiency of nuclear fusion can be significantly increased by this method by decreasing the ratio of the energy of the deuteron's electric field to the relative kinetic energy of colliding ion clusters to values of the order of unity.
