In this paper, the mathematical analysis of determining the transit time in ultrasonic water consumption measuring devices based on IoT technology is considered. It presents a mathematical description of the calculation of the consumption time (time-of-flight TOF, as well as the transit time) of the flow measurement using ultrasound, and some problems in the calculation of the consumption time are highlighted.
