FESOM2.1-REcoM3 4.5 km model analysis for biogenic aerosol precursors in the Arctic Ocean

This dataset is related to the article “Wide-spread Occurrence and Increasing Trend of Biogenic Aerosol Precursors in the Arctic Ocean Simulated by an Ocean Biogeochemical Model” in JGR: Biogeoscience by M. Zeising, L. Oziel, Ö. Gürses, J. Hauck, B. Heinold, S. N. Losa, S. Thoms, M. van Pinxteren, C. Völker, S. Zeppenfeld, and A. Bracher. It contains FESOM2.1-REcoM3 model output on the so-called farc mesh with a resolution of 4.5 km in the Arctic. The dataset provides curated model output of phytoplankton Chlorophyll a, sea-ice concentration, dissolved inorganic nitrogen, dissolved, carboxylic acid containing polysaccharides, Transparent Exopolymer Particles (TEP), and particulate organic carbon. Alongside, the model code, mesh diagnostics and region boundaries are included for completeness.
