Level Up Your HPC Skills: Getting the Most Out of Your Supercomputer
Description
Slides from my series of talks on high-performance computing for researchers. The talk was originally given at the 2023 CTCMS Symposium hosted at the University of Queensland with the following abstract:
Do you use a supercomputer in your research? Do you want to level up your skills to get more band
for your buck on your favourite HPC cluster? Don’t want to re-write your code in the process? Then
this workshop is for you!
Over the course of this workshop, I’ll teach you some tips and tricks to make your life easier: from
advanced features of job-schedulers to modern software provisioning tools and how to get the most
out of shiny new hardware coming online in major HPC centres. There will be plenty of time for
Q&A, so bring your laptop along for some hands-on experience.
