Description

Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727), an English mathematician, has been at the same time a key figure in the philosophical movement known as the Enlightenment. Newton published this book in the year 1744.

Adopting the position of Wallis, Newton himself demands the following:

 “1/0 = Infinitae” (Opusculum I, p. 4).
