Type locality: Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak

Distribution. Indian records: Darjeeling (Snellen 1890), Sikkim (Hampson 1896b), North India (Rose & Dhillon 1980c), India (Robinson et al. 1994), Kolkata (Sanyal et al. 2012), Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andaman and Nicobar (Chandra et al. 2019). Global records: Ceylon, Borneo, Java (Hampson 1896a, Hampson 1896b), Sri Lanka, Japan, West Malaysia, Sarawak (Robinson et al. 1994), Nepal (Yamanaka 1998), Korea (Bae et al. 2008), Thailand (Chandra et al. 2019).
