The Role of Sound Engineering in the Formation and Development of Ukrainian Cinematographic and Television Art

Description

The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of sound engineering on the formation and development of cinematographic and television art in Ukraine; to identify the main stages of the development of sound engineering. The research methodology consisted in the organic set of basic principles of research, as well as the following methods of scientific knowledge: problem-chronological, concrete-historical, statistical, descriptive, and logical-analytical. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the first attempt to provide detailed analysis of the basic principles of sound engineering which were used in Ukrainian cinematography. Conclusions. It was found out that sound engineering had a tremendous influence on Ukrainian cinematography, since the principle of monothematism, which began to be used with the development of technical capabilities of sound reproduction, is today relevant and required for the creation of domestic films.
