ATUAÇÃO DOS ENFERMEIROS COM O PACIENTE ACOMETIDO POR INSUFICIÊNCIA CARDÍACA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Introduction: Heart Failure (HF) is characterized as a dysfunction that causes an inadequate blood supply to meet tissue metabolic needs. It is characterized by typical signs and symptoms resulting from reduced cardiac output and/or increased filling pressures at rest or during exercise. Objective: To identify in the literature the importance of the role of nurses with patients with heart failure. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and included the following databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) platform. Results: The main findings were: Educational and self-care interventions and the nurse as an educator in the management of HF for medication and non-pharmacological adherence. Conclusion: It is concluded that the professional nurse has a fundamental role as an educator to promote an increase in the therapeutic adherence score.
