Fontes de inspiração em composição musical: 16 relatos retrospectivos

This document contains accounts written (in my native language) for a self-study around the inspirational sources of the creative processes of all the pieces I composed up to now. It is the result of three work phases. The first took place from October to December 2020 and gave rise to a preliminary version; the second went from May to July 2022 and September to November 2022 and I arrived at the final version; and the third, carried out from February to April 2023, gave rise to this edition, fo which I ended up changed some sentences and reorganising partes of the text, in order to improve its understanding.

I considered as sources of inspiration the factors that made me consider writing the pieces (for me, the processes began in the moment this happened); motivated me to carry the processes forward; and led me to ideas for the processes (which then influenced my writing or decisions). Through descriptions of the available sources of information and of the inspirational sources, as well as auto-ethnographic commentaries, I sought to answer for each source of inspiration the following questions: 

1.     How did it appear in the process?

2.     How and when did it appear in my path?

3.     What did it inspire?

Regarding the latter question, I also searched for the way the inspired ideas manifest in the work; and, sought to identify the ideas that had been abandoned in other processes. Among the sources of information there is my memory (which I always mentioned in the text). In this case, I tried to corroborate the memories through another source of information, but this was not always possible. The other sources are cited in square brackets and referenced in the Appendix. Its preceding section contain the references of the sources of additional information.
