CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF IMPLICATIONS OF NEW EDUCATION POLICY ON WEAKER SECTIONS OF SOCIETY IN INDIA

Education is the basic need of every citizen in the country that helps to change the society by improving and
strengthening skills, ethical values, scientific temper, social equality, fraternity, Justice and feelings of nationality. In
this paper an attempt has been made to discuss the provisions made in the NEP-2020 to cater the problems of
downtrodden and marginalized people of India. The comparative study of educational status of India and other
countries reveals the need to seriously focus on the different aspects to improve the provisions made in education
system. It is also necessary to make provisions in NEP to safeguard the constitutional rights of SC/ST/OBC/MC people
and ensure them freedom for their future progress.
